The meal I've got was a combination plate it was very reasonably priced the waitress was very sweet I would go back. This place is definitely not a dieters the light.Everything is of calories but what do you expect from a southern place. The fried Chicken was very good and the coleslaw was wonderfully fine chopped. I love my cole slaw like that and it's hard to get that anywhere. You feel very soft when you leave there

I ordered a whole smoked turkey for a party today. The bird was DELICIOUS! It was ready at the time promised, and it was piping hot. Everyone loved it. I will definitely order from them again.

Highly disappointed with my experience tonight. The hostess sat us, we waited....server walking around checking on other tables...we waited...hostess tells waitress she sat us (as if she couldn't see)...we waited...server walks past our table, makes eye contact with me, to check on another table...we waited...comes back to say "I'll be with you in a minute". No you won't...goodbye! I will not pay for poor customer service. We go to Hursey's often and a couple of times have been made to wait to be seated as if we were invisible. Well, this was the LAST time. Thanks but no thanks. I will say that LaVern is fabulous.

Average BBQ. Got the chopped plate but meat was minced more than chopped. Good hushpuppies. Wife got the fish sandwich. She said it was good but need tartar sauce.

The food is always good, but they are frequently out of sliced barbq. I went in today to get a sliced sandwich and the young woman at the counter said they were out. When I asked why they were out, she shrugged her shoulders and laughed nervously and didn't answer my question. So I asked one of the men behind the counter in the kitchen"why" and his response was "we are always out of everything. I just work here." So, I am going to stop frequenting this establishment. There are other bbq joints in town that don't seem to have these problems. I will, However, miss the older woman who works the drive through window. She is the most professional thing about this place.
